Communication strategy Novo Nordisk Haemophilia Foundation

The Novo Nordisk Haemophilia Foundation (NNHF) is a grant-making, non-profit organization dedicated to improving access to care for people with haemophilia and allied disorders in low- and middle-income countries. The NNHF funds projects to build capacity for diagnosis and care, encouraging its partners to join forces for sustainable impact and systemic change.

In the process of revising the latest communication strategy, Wylkomm was asked to review and challenge the planned strategic measurements. The Foundation aims to focus more on digital media, nurture its partnerships with communication activities, strengthen its branding, and expand projects and partnerships. The goal was to adopt a sustainable, successful strategy that can be translated into concrete, measurable, and feasible actions.

Wylkomm proposed to challenge the communication strategy with two half-day workshops, actively involving the NNHF communications team. The strategy should be challenged by taking up customers’, stakeholders’, and project partners’ points of view. This interactive format allowed to refine the strategy in real time by evaluating what fits and what is feasible. Furthermore, Wylkomm conducted several short interviews with key stakeholders defined by NNHF.

All work products from the two workshops, the detailed interviews presenting the outside view and perception, summaries, key learnings, main results, defined measures, KPIs, and the conclusion were elaborated and submitted in a final documentation. To ensure the sustainable implementation of the defined measures, a working tool was developed for daily use and further development.
