Alliance for the Common Good

The Alliance for the Common Good is a Swiss association that promotes charitable giving through wills. Its members include numerous nonprofit organizations. Since early 2025, Maura Wyler has been part of the association’s executive management. As a result, Wylkomm is responsible for all of the association’s communications – both strategically and operationally. This includes managing social media activities and maintaining both the main website www.allianzgemeinwohl.ch and the campaign platform www.weiterwirken.ch. Wylkomm also supports the association in developing and implementing studies on topics related to charitable bequests.

In Switzerland, around 95 billion Swiss francs are passed on through inheritance every year. However, only 0.3% of that wealth is bequeathed to charitable organizations or institutions. The Alliance for the Common Good is committed to encouraging more people in Switzerland to write a will – and to include charitable causes in it more often. The goal is to create the conditions for a significantly larger share of inherited wealth to benefit the nonprofit sector in the future. To achieve this, the association raises awareness through a digital campaign on LinkedIn and via its website www.weiterwirken.ch.

The Alliance for the Common Good is establishing itself as a center of expertise on charitable bequests and conducts alternating annual studies: the Demoscope Study, a representative public survey, and the Hummingbirds Study, a series of in-depth qualitative interviews. The full study results are available exclusively to association members. In addition, the association offers coaching sessions, workshops, and academic conferences on topics such as legacy fundraising and focused donor communication.
